As an independent benefits broker and trusted advisor/consultant I having been helping businesses with their employee benefit plans and health insurance options for over 20 years. I help employers wade through the chaotic world of employee benefits compliance and by developing benefit strategies to minimize health plan costs, educate employees to better understand and value their benefit plans and continually assessing all markets and options available to small and large employers alike, including partial-self funding, buy-downs, level funding, Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and other alternative funding arrangements.

I continue to be active in our local and national associations such as the National Association of Health Underwriters ( and the Treasure Valley Association of Health Underwriters (TVAHU) and the Idaho Association of Health Underwriters ( I have served as the legislative chair for IAHU and as a charter board member and education co-chair for TVAHU.

I love helping employers implement efficient wellness programs and have developed My Healthy Tools® as a resource for my clients. This website provides examples of some of those resources.
